配chord的問題...
我在學校學的都是古典音樂的四部和聲、對位法...
我想知道為民歌或流行曲配chord的技巧﹐有沒有高人可以指點呢﹖
我作曲的時候﹐有時會先有了chord progression﹐有時是沒有chord直接寫旋律的﹐但這就大件事...唔知點配番d伴奏...要搵人幫手...所以我好想自己可以寫埋...

配chord不難...不過要配得好...就好難...

我彈結他的經驗是根據該小節的旋律而決定用甚麼Chord。

而妳所說的 "有時是沒有chord直接寫旋律的﹐但這就大件事...唔知點配番d伴奏..." 我覺得更容易在寫入主旋律時加入和弦,由於四部和聲中部分取用Tonic Triads 外(Triads不是黑社會,嘻...),其他多用到 2nd or 3rd Inversion 去配合旋律,妳可以寫出前後呼應的樂句,哼得順耳才將 Triads 套用,

例如:零時十分的首句 |1 2 3 5 . 3 2 1 | 6 7 1 3.....
第一個 bar 寫了 |1 2 3 5 . 3 2 1 | 當然用 I 啦,
而第二個 bar | 6 7 1 3..... 則可用 iv,

善用 Triads 的 Inversions,妙用無窮。

Let me share some of my ideas on chord arrangements:

1. Firstly, start using the diatonic triad chords, that is : I for (1,3,5); ii for 2,4,6); iii for (3,5,7); IV for (4,6,1); V for (5,7,2); vi for (6,1,3) and vii7b5 for (7,2,4). For example, in C key, the chords would be C,Dm,Em,F,G,Am and Bm7b5. Usually the V will be in the seventh form (e.g. G7 in the key of C).

2. Sometimes there would be a "change of color" to give a prefered chord sound. II can be used instead of ii if before the V chord (e.g. D->G instead of Dm->G in the key of C). III can be used instead of iii if before the vi/VI chord. VI can be used instead of vi if before the ii/II chord. That is something related to the "circle of fifth" concept (e.g. E7->A7->D7->G7->C).

3. Try some chord substitutions. Some chords can be substituted by another chord with similar notes to give a different feel. The I chord can be substituted by vi or iii. The IV can be substituted by ii.

4. Do some chord embellishments. Make the chords more interesting. The I chord can be embellished by changing to Imaj7, Imaj9, I6, I6/9, etc. The ii can be embellished by ii7,ii6, ii9, iib5, etc. For the V7, there is a lot of possibilites : V9, V13, V7b5, V7#5, V7b9, V7#9, etc.

5. Add some passing chords, usually in the form of chromatic movements. For example, between the I and ii, the i#dim can be added (e.g. G->G#dim->Am in the key of G). Between the I and vi, the Iaug can be added (e.g. C->Caug->Am in the key of C). Between the iii and ii, a IIIb7 can be added (e.g. Em->Eb7->Dm in the key of C).

6. Add more taste to boring progressions. For example, instead of 4 bars of I chord, you can change it to I->Isus4->I->Isus2. This following progression is used a lot : Em->Em/maj7->Em7->Em6 (e.g. in Michelle). Also the add9, add2, add4 chords are useful. Also try the polychords or slash chords, e.g. C/D, Bm/A which are very common in popular songs. An example of chromatic movement with slash chords : G9/D->Gb9/Db->F9/C->E9/B in "This Masquerade".

7. Observe the usual chord sequences. Songs usually start with the I (tonic) chord, move to other chords, then finally 'resolve' back to the tonic. The V7 chord is highly 'unresolved' and mostly followed by the I chord (e.g. G7 -> C). The ii usually resolves to the V chord (e.g. Dm -> G7). The IV chord is frequently followed by the V chord also. The vi chord is often followed by the ii. So a popular sequence is C->Am->Dm->G7->C (I->vi->ii->V7->C), or with some embellishment it can become Cmaj7->A7b9->Dm7->G13->C6/9.

The above the just some basic ideas. Experiences sharing from other people are welcome.
