我呢d結他初學者,除左掃下chord就乜都唔識,雖然話晒都有得自彈自唱,但係淨掃真係好悶架~點算好呢?(難d我又彈唔到喎)

Just to want to share my little knowledge. After mastering the chords on the guitar, learning the scales can be interesting. When you know the scales techniques, it allows you to play solos, fill-ins and lots of interesting stuff. The followings are suggested to learn :
1. The major/minor scales - need to know the scale patterns all over the fretboard for the 12 keys. Sounds difficult, but there are only 5 patterns you need.
2. Then learn the pentatonic scale - only 5 notes per pattern, also 5 patterns. Then you can play many many solos.
3. Finally learn the blues scale - add one note to the pentatonic scale, then you can play with "moods" and "emotions".
Have fun, don't stop just playing the chords.

We are all glad to share your experience in this forum.

When I first met your Mercury with K K WONG, Jim ,廖淑芬 and you in 1982 (maybe I am the first one to state "Jim" here) . I thought that how long time I can come to your standard, it's just a dream, or it will never come true.

You must remember me, the one-guitar accompanying a female folk singer, 趙淑芬 of 秋蟬, this group had been sharing some short but unforgetable days with music. It had been of six members with 2 female voices, 1 flute and 3 guitars, normally the fultist and I were staying resident in the group. We had a happy and enjoyable period with full voices and rich accompanying at that time. It's a pity that we lost her - one of the female singers passed away in 1996, 秋蟬不再鳴了......only several song recorded during practice left behind.

Sum, your words encouarged me, I am short in vocabularies, I just told young learners of guitar how important the scale usage and chord structures are, how to familiarize the finger board and relations of different notes and chords.

To dear young stephenchan1985, take my words：

掃chord好!!!不悶!

"Chord is groups of notes with unique sounds, it brings you different effects in music, so, before you strum a chord, try think of which notes you are playing with or you will get nothing. Boring? no way!"

"When you know the notes to play, you can play most anything"

(the last sentence is extracted from "Do-re-me" in "Sound of Music", I believe, it really works!)

恭喜你, 掃Chord掃到悶即是話你已經掌握了吉他彈奏的基本節奏, 初班已經畢業了, 可以挑戰進階的吉他技巧.
1) 切音(Statcato), 悶音(Mute)
--(能夠增加掃Chord時的音色變化)
2) 切分拍子(syncopation), 附點拍子
--(能夠改變拍子的強弱拍感, 附點使節奏變得活躍)
學會上述兩種技巧, 彈奏時節奏會更富變化,
不再是死板重重複複使人發悶.

另外, 音階練習是非非常常重要, 每天都需要練習,
(請參看Dear Sum的留言) 現在你可能不明白如何應用,
但到高階時能否突破吉他彈奏的瓶頸, 音階必然是重要的因數.

我也掃chord掃到悶, 玩下其他吉他技巧, 如Sweep picking (Arpeggios), 但我試過這技巧放在歌曲中, 好似不太好聽, 有沒有高手指教...............
