Re: 2005.11.19 (六) - 維園民歌音樂會 既然MEL SIR講開，我又牙癢講多兩句。
的確『食字』gimmick早已被濫用，尤其是FOLK福二字互食，個人覺得甚至娘娘地，所以我之前講己沒有新鮮感及驚喜， 既然如Michael叔叔講『這個可能會齊集有全香港最勁的一大班民歌高手同台表演』，絕對配得上用『香港民歌節』的稱號。 如果我們沒有強大的宣傳力量，最好不要用需要解釋的名稱，直接了當用『香港民歌節』，相信沒有人不明白是甚麼事，而且的確是可以長久駛用，5年後依然可以叫『香港民歌節2010』。如用『香港友』（一般人單睇個『友』字，仲會讀高音ｄ，讀『你條友仔』的『友』） 真的不知何時會OUT OUT地。其實也沒有In過。 如用『香港民歌節』，對外，除了可清晰表達是民歌界的一個EVENT之外，對參與歌手組合亦是一種榮耀，試想下，將來同人講：『我以前玩過香港民歌節！』 對方一聽就明，而且講出嚟會有一點自傲感。 如果同人講：『我以前玩過香港友FOLK！』 對方會問：『咩話？咩福話？』有排解釋之餘，仲好似娘娘地。 我知人多意見多，一人一個意見，會搞到籌委會好煩，不過做得籌委會，就要預左我地呢ｄ煩人齋吹唔做，相信大家都係想件事好, 至會咁緊張個名。希望籌委會各大佬考慮下。  如有煩親各大佬, 先自隊一杯, 飲!

At first, I would like to thank all folk friends providing their suggestion to the name of the concert. Salute to you all! Besides, I would express my heartfelt gratitude to the effort of our dear Adam for his professional recommendation of the concert name and design of the Logo. I think all should note from his website that Adam is an experience and professional design director that I think he can charge us more than a $1,000 for creating one Name or one Logo but he has made more than 15 suggested names and 2 creative logos free of charge. I appreciate his effort! We, 5 members of the organizing committee of the concert, collected all the proposals, made a serious consideration and voted for the result. During the process, we already had a very fierce argument and discussion. We made a vote and the result is 3:2 (Sorry, I will not disclose who support and who oppose, I hope other members will not disclose too!) that we finally confirm the name of the concert is “"香港友Folk 2005"! After confirming the name, we have already started other works like preparing the promotion details, sponsorship arrangement, co-ordination with the performers,….etc. Same as Neil Young’s song, we are “Looking Forward”!! 可能有太多提名,如果要集齊所有人的意見再不停modify,然後再去表決的話,可能遲遲都未能落實 (到最後選出來的名稱亦無可能得到全人類的認同). 由現在到大會舉行當日只剩下兩個多月的時間,亦正如Dear Frankie & Chris所說,有太多事工係必須要開始落實並加以進行;相信大家都期待著一個屬於大家的一個民歌活動,既然大會亦投票決定了活動名稱,又何必再stick on這個話題上.....everything must go on ........

I myself personally have other thoughts about the name. But then I realize that situation like this normally every one has his point and NO one is wrong. Just a matter of reaching the decision. This is in fact the hard job of the Committee (perhaps a Board's decision in business??). Looking at the 3/2 vote, the debate must have been fierce as Frankie put it. Let us now follow the rule of the game and look forward to WORK to make it a really nice function. Rod |

這一個屬於我地每一位同是喜歡音樂、喜歡民歌的香港民歌朋友們的盛事就『應會』叫做"香港友Folk 2005" 所以以為名稱仲未拍板,所以就把握最後機會陳詞個人意見。 既然名稱是經籌委會『激烈』商討後拍板, 小弟就只有兩個字:支持。 僅此多謝籌委員各大佬的出力, 仲有ADAM大佬的設計。 相信大家都會全力支持大會。 Mel Sir，星期五點解有酒飲既？
