This land is my land, 是我上世紀六十年代已經聽的美國民歌，感染力強得來又悅耳動聽，而S & G 的版本，當年我更是百聽不厭。

在最近聽了到 ‘深哥’ 的小朋友們 和 Sampson 的演唱，雖然歌曲依然動聽，感染力也一樣的強﹔但人老了，讀到的歷史多了，對大美國主義的反感和矛盾亦多了。

This land is my land? 大自然的土地是 ‘made for’ 他們的？是 ‘For you and me?’ 誰是 you? 誰是 me? 在北美洲曾經有三百多種語言﹔而土著的印第安、愛斯基摩人等早己定居於此地。 但﹔自哥倫布以後，先是墾荒的西班牙人，再而是移民北美的白人。 為土地，殘殺、掠奪、蹂躪了整片動人美麗的大地。 野牛和印第安人的頭皮，只不過是白人的掛牆標本。 美國人打著 ‘人類應當平等、自由、民主’ 的立國精神作宣傳口號，將差不多早已被他們殺絕而至瀕臨减絕的民族和文化，驅趕他們到荒蕪的安置區。 This land is my land?

同時﹔在這些年中，美國人每有喜慶、國殤，在頒獎禮會場，在美國國會，在演唱會上總愛慷慨激昂地高唱著這首歌。 今天我感性的時候聽到此曲，回想這些歷史，再將此曲和 以色列立國電影歌曲 the exodus song 比較，兩曲相映成趣，不意中感到他們激昂背後帶出的血肉模糊。

在香港，其實我們的財閥富豪地產商，也正在高唱著這首 This land is my land，在你的心中可有感到血肉模糊嗎？

May be I hear too much (amercian) country music and sometimes I feel so "americanized" myself that I never treat these lyrics too seriously. When we hear/sing a lot of these folk songs/country songs, we helplessly became much influenced by the amercian culture.

Yes, it is the right time for the folkers like us to compose our own songs and make our local Hong Kong folk song. I would suggest the performers of HKFolk 2007 should compose at least one new song and make a CD before the show. I hope we can make it!!!

十分同意Frankie的提議，其實每個年代、每個地方都有不同的特色，不同的事情發生，民歌正好反映當時的社會情况及情懷。如果有地道特色的民歌，就更加令聽眾有親切感及引起共鳴。
如Capo創作的Just a game，便能夠諷刺香港的選舉制度，而且現在還有一大班民歌創作人，起碼都可以寫一首香港友Folk標題歌一齊大合唱，就更加有意思。
就從現在開始，就携手共創本地民歌！
