 不過我果陣個音樂老師都好開通, 在音樂會上其他人都係就Choir, 玩中樂同西樂。 佢就俾我同另外兩個同學彈結他唱Scarborough Fair 同Helpless Hoping。

別客氣﹐我也很多謝你的邀請﹐無論是在預備時跟Billy練歌﹐或是在過程中跟學生們一起唱﹐我也很能享受箇中的樂趣。想不到我們預備的十多首歌﹐差一點還不夠用呢。 其實他們的反應很不錯﹐我也想不到會有這麼多學生參予﹐而且他們也會開口跟我一起唱。至於他們有甚麼回應﹐也請你讓我知道﹐好嗎﹖ 繼續努力吧﹐我相信除了我之外﹐各位高手也都會全力支持的。 PPM, Frankie, 添﹐Michael叔叔 幾時又到你們了﹖  |

Re: 怎樣推動香港下一代的民歌運動?﹔而將之放上間接青韻 I had a folk gathering in school yesterday. I would like to thank Chris and Billy for coming to my school to help me host the gathering. There were around 20 students, which were more than expected. Some students told me beforehand that they had to go to tutorial classes or do voluntary work, and could only stay for a very little while. At the end, there were 8 students left. I’m not sure if some of them decided to leave when they saw someone was leaving, and I still need to talk to them later and find out what they feel about the gathering. However, I have never promoted my Folk Club to the whole school, and have been inviting a small number of students to come on my own. I think I am quite happy with the first gathering this year.
The songs we sang included Blowing in the wind, Tell Laura I love her, Love is Blue, Love, Me, Sealed with a kiss, Streets of London, Tears in Heaven, Without you, Yesterday, 泥路上，是雨是夜，不再猶豫，海闊天空，光輝歲月. With Chris’s beautiful and clear voice, and Billy’s lively guitar music, students had an enjoyable time. But obviously, students were more excited when we sang Chinese songs, and hopefully, they will fall in love with the English folk songs as well. I’m glad to see that their response for Tears in Heaven and Love, Me was quite good, because they had listened to the song before in my class before going to the gathering, and had learnt about the story as well. Maybe I should always introduce a song in class before every gathering. I will talk to my students about which songs they like best, and hopefully the information can help me improve the next gathering. Maybe I should include a few pop songs every time. The purpose of my gathering is to appreciate and share all the good songs together, and I believe that there are pop songs which are worth appreciating these days. Personally, I listened to a lot of pop songs in the past, and there were a number of singers I liked, such as Hacken Lee, Sally Yeh, Jackie Cheung, 彭羚，陳潔儀，Joey Yung, 巫啓賢etc. I believe that there are still a number of good songs nowadays, and maybe I should pay attention to the pop songs nowadays as well. Reflecting on the problems or drawbacks of the gathering, I found that poor Chris had been straining his voice for the whole time, as he had been leading the students to sing, and everyone was lost whenever Chris’s voice disappeared. Towards the end of the gathering, it was so obvious that Chris was exhausted. Hopefully, I can invite two friends to sing, so that the singers will have enough time to rest. I would like to take this opportunity to invite our friends who can be available on weekdays. I can always arrange the gatherings which are convenient for you. Time flies. It has been 2 years since I set up the club. In the past, I had the feeling of ending the club after each gathering. I used to love singing a lot before I joined the gatherings held by you guys. I realized that I don’t have the talent to sing, and have stopped singing for a very long time. Now, I find that I can’t reach the pitch I was able to reach in the past, and I am very nervous when I have to sing in front of people. After each gathering at school, I felt so ashamed of myself and I was more determined to give up singing every time. It’s still a problem this time, and I don’t know how to overcome this. However, I have some motivation to practise more this time, and hopefully, I can enjoy singing the good songs with my students in the future. I think Billy had a wonderful time yesterday. He was practicing with Chris in the morning. After that, he performed at the gathering in my school. In the evening, we visited a friend in Yuen Long, and he played guitar with his friend until midnight. It was a crazy day for him. Good music brings us a lot of fun and makes life more enjoyable. I believe that bringing the joy to my school can make my teaching life more meaningful too. Once again, thank Chris and Billy for bringing life to my Folk Club. Looking forward to more gatherings in the future!  |

回顧80年代, 可算是香港電視、電影、以至流行歌的黃金時期。 東南亞區的流行文化, 無論歌影視, 都是以香港為最重要的文化輻射中心。 本地與音樂有關的雜誌就有:有年青人周報, music weekly, 結他離誌, 新時代, 好時代…etc, 內容部份雖然也有點八掛新聞, 但主要都和音樂有關。 進入90年代, 不斷有人大叫: 香港電視已死, 電影已死, 歌壇已死,… 原因多籮籮, 可能幾篇論文都寫唔哂。 家陣雜誌是多了很多, 但都是消閒, 娛樂八掛雜誌充斥市面, 一個大城市, 竟然沒有一本像樣的音樂雜誌! Lungfoo兄講起西九, 又勾起我條筋, 令小弟另一次胡思亂想。 搞到我又有d野想講下。 西九文娛藝術區給人一個可以令香港文化藝術回覆光彩的憧憬, 一個龐大的硬件,無論本質是否地產項目,原本有總好過冇, 相信大部份香港人都覺得文娛藝術區值得搞。 關於當中的政治,財團利益不談了。 但那個巨獸型天幕設計, 初看給人會一種未來世界feel, 又可免日曬雨淋之苦,好像好正, 但我卻越看越不舒服。 它反映出總設計者最大目的只是著眼建設一個嚇人地標, 以吸引珠三角, 自遊行的旅遊區, 多過是真正以文化藝術為建設目的。 或只是想拿個國際建築設計大獎 ? 香港早己是一個石屎森林, 在市區一抬頭, 甚麼玻璃幕場, 天幕, 己是到處可見, 多得幾乎令人窒息。 反而已無可能見到大片令人心曠神怡的天空。 西九項目, 難得可以在市區開闢一大片空地, 原應該可以將一大片天空還給香港人。 總設計師卻一定要將它變成一個大型Shopping Mall的模樣。 為何不讓長期困於辦公室,工廠的香港人擁有一個無障礙的天空, 無論天晴時的藍天白雲, 下雨時的橫風或細雨, 都是大自然景色一部份, 正如維港是港人的天然景物一樣。  市區的可見凡的天空已越來越少。 香港人先前保護海港可算勝了一小仗, 現在政府卻又推出無謂的怪獸天幕去阻擋香港人的天空。 正如當年尖沙咀海旁的文化中心, 一直被人批評為何在難得的海旁建一個完全封閉式的建築物, 儼如一座大公廁一樣, 阻擋了香港人看海的權利。 文化中心本身的設計不錯, 不過若是建在沙漠中, 我想可能不會招來大多的批評。 可是建在市區海旁, 怎看也是格格不入。直至現在我也看不過眼。 正如為何一定要在市區建造一個大而無盪天幕, 去遮掩越來越少的天空一樣。 況且一個天幕, 究竟和文娛藝術發展有何關係?  文化中心設計被評為一個大公廁放在海旁。 大天幕若是獨立看, 的確是美輪美煥, 建在一個一大平原, 或外國市郊區一些不愁沒有天空的地方, 可能會得到較大的遮蔽作用, 但在香港市區, 天空如此缺乏的地方,就重覆了文化中心的不協調弊病。 如將龐大的建築費, 若用在發展文化藝術的軟件上, 豈不是更好? 如人材培訓, 提高港人文化藝術意識, 保留本土文化….大把工作可做, 香港人已行得太多商場了, 不用再建一個面積達40公頃大型的Mall。 留多一點天空給香港人及下一代吧!  政府宣傳的西九大天幕設計, 是很多建築設計的夢想項目。 但是香港寶貴的天空卻成犧牲品。  大家抬頭想看到的是一望無際的天空, 還是會積了塵的天幕?
