今日下午收到Rod哥來電，表示Hong Kong Folk Society會在灣仔�韔anny Man Bar有聚會，問在下去唔去坐�幭光嚘q，去到已見Pete & Iris兩夫婦及幾位外籍人仕在坐，席間有一位年青朋友�咻矰@支香港好少人彈外型類似中東�嚗祩飽ARod哥已即時話�髐韺琲鴃A但可惜我老人痴呆，唔記得左，只記得係B字頭，Rod哥，請再提示，其他帶有手風琴，fiddle，等，寒喧幾句，飲啖啤酒之後，佢地開始輪流唱歌，大多是很地道�儱R爾蘭民歌，很喜歡Pete掃chord手法，好有feel，雖然唔見到飛快�齔畦L手法，用都是D，G，A 的simple chord，但令人十分舒服及有動感，加上Iris�歞偭n，如沐春風。其他朋友聽�幭光鵅A都會不其然扲起手樂器 jam落去，在下又口 up up學人jam下和音啦，跟住在下及Rod哥都要唱番幾首，Rod,哥當然手到拿來，Candy Man、Strolling Down The Highway送上，由於Pete哥��1973年Yamaha tension較高，我同Rod哥都彈得比較辛苦，不過支陳年Yamaha一到Pete手上，就變成一支好醇�麍鶧s。我就面慒慒唱�髐T首 : Jackaroe、East Virginia，Where Have All The Flowers Gone (好開心，佢地都跟住和唱呢)，聽Iris講佢地4月及5月將會有event響 Canny Man Bar攪function，如各位有興趣，可以去一行，飲飲啤，欣賞外國的傳統音樂文化。哎！可惜唔記得帶相機……..

Yes, at the time PPM called me I was in Yuen Long with Sonia and my wife riding bicycle. Very interesting that I was in Yuen Long but Rod Gor in Wanchai. I heard some lovely folk music through the mobile phone of PPM. Yes, must call me next time!!!

Yes. they have started to have their regular gathering in Canny Man once every month in the afternoon.

For a few years they always had it during weekdays when I could not make it ( long way from Macau & impossible to catch the time after work). Now that they have switched to Sundays afternoons, I will probably join them more often.

If you like to listen to some simple British ethnic sound, or if like to learn something about the traditional folk music, it's probably wellworth to go and have a look.

On the 28Apr Friday night, they will have an international folk musician Colum Sands. He is Irish and we can find out about him with

It will cost HK$100.00 for the evening with one free drink in the bar.

When I know about their May session, no doubt I will post the details here in case somebody is interested.

And in June 09/10 weekend, they will go over to Macau for the weekend to enjoy a weekend of music, food and drink. (to them maybe drinks will have the top priority.) this is one some of us joined them a few years ago.
