Re: Neil Young的近况 參考過Michael提供的網站才知到Scott & Neil Young是標準的Father & Son. 真可以說是"加拿大之寶"。
看到網頁尾二那段文字 "It is said that Neil Young's first musical abilities were encouraged when his father gave him a ukulele for Christmas in 1958."就想起不要輕看送給孩子的小禮物。

Re: Neil Young的近况 今天2005年11月12日就是Neil Young的60歲生日的好日子......多年來，Neil Young是我其中一位最欣賞的Singer-Songwriter，在這裏讓我說聲'Happy Birthday to Neil'.......
在今年2005年，Neil Young就曾經歷過一個緊急腦部手術及父親去世的兩大事件，也曾在多個頒獎禮及籌款演唱會做特別嘉賓，更令我佩服的，Neil Young剛在上月推出了一隻全Acoustic作品的新唱片 'Prairie Wind'，碟內的10首歌曲當然全是Neil Young的作品，更找來老拍擋Ben Keith彈番Steel & Slide Guitar及還Keep得很Fit的Emmylou Harris伴唱了三首歌曲，Far From Home、This Old Guitar、No Wonder....... 有不少的樂評人都對這將新大碟'Prairie Wind'有很高的評價，也和Neil Young的兩張Acoustic經典大碟，1972年的'Harvest'及1992年的'Harvest Moon'相提並論........ 在那Rock & Roll大行其道的70年代，有多位的Singer-Songwriter所唱的歌曲雖像沒有甚麽激昂爆炸性，那帶點悽怨似的歌聲就使人越聽越覺有味道，Neil Young、James Taylor、Jackson Browne、Cat Stevens可就是其中的表表者........ 提起倉桑悽怨，認識Neil Young的朋友都可能會知道1975年大碟'Tonight's The Night'就是懷念他的樂隊Crazy Horse結他/創作歌手，I Don't Want To Talk About It所原作者Danny Whitten因吸毒死去而出的一張大碟；另外，1994年大碟Sleeps With Angels就是Neil Young懷念Nirvana靈魂Kurt Cobain，死前寫下Neil Young – Hey Hey My My歌詞'It's Better To Burn Out，Then To Fade Away'，自殺死去而出的一張大碟....... 想不到，另一個10年的這張大碟'Prairie Wind'，也應是Neil Young懷念多位在今年2005年去世的至愛親朋而出的一張大碟，包括Neil Young的爸爸Scott Young，Buffalo Springfield的Bass結他手Bruce Palmer，在Heart Of Gold的'Harvest'大碟，負責打鼓的Kenny Buttrey，在Human Highway的'Comes A Time'大碟，負責小提琴的Rufus Thibodeaux，還有電影'Human Highway'、'Journey through The Past'、'Rust never Sleeps'的攝影師David Myer......... Again，'Happy Birthday To Neil Young!'

今天2006年11月12日就是Neil Young的61歲的生日....... Happy Birthday To Neil Young！！ 有位朋友就做了一個相片Video，向這位40多年來，從沒有停過出唱片及做Concert的傳奇致敬，用的音樂也就是'Long May You Run'，Video內Neil Young的朋友，你認得有誰？
