昨天跟Michael叔叔及William從陳迪匡的傷心的小鸚鵡, 講起Sam Hui的Me And The Elephant, 由這歌的原唱者Gene Cotton, 再帶出Kim Carnes. 談得真暢快, 從Michael叔叔這音樂字典處真的學了不少o野。
很喜歡Kim Carnes的沙啞歌聲, 不知從何時起, 對這種聲音很有好感, 總覺這種聲音唱Rock很勁, 唱情歌很動人. 當然還有Rod Stewart及本地的鄭敬基。聽說PPM說, 60年代她跟Kenny Rogers亦曾加入民歌組合New Christy Minstrels. 1978年她與Gene Cotton合唱了You're A Part Of Me, 雖攀上細碟榜第3位, 但未能大紅, 1980年Kenny與她合唱了Don't Fall In Love With a Dreamer, 打上美國細碟榜第4位﹐一年後她再憑Bette Davis Eyes打上冠軍位置9個星期, 真厲害, 但其後便發展平平.

If you just need the duet song, then search for Kim Carnes CD I had post the cover.
