Yes he has a very unique style. To me, it is not so adequate to call him a bluesman. The sound he produces is not so bluesy but most of the time just like telling a story. I like to consider him as a folkie. Ha! Wonder how many agree.

People like finger-style might watch how he uses his little finger to anchor his hand. ( I think Christine has asked a question about this a while ago )

Another thing to notice is how he muffs the bass on & off ( only when he likes ) in his alternate bass.

And he uses bare fingers (striking the strings with the flesh part of his thumb & finger tips).

Very impressive. It all looks easy but in fact quite complex.
