Nanci Griffith is my favourite artist too.
A DVD on her live performance(in 1989?) was published some time ago. It also includs "Once In A Very Blue Moon", "From A Distance".....
The title of this DVD is "ONE FAIR SUMMER EVENING...PLUS"

Nanci Griffith was born in 1953 and grew up in Austin. Her first album was published in 1978 : "There’s A Light Beyond These Woods". Perhaps her most famous song is "From A Distance," which had reached #1 in the U.K. and Ireland. She has been called "the Queen of Folkabilly,", although many also consider her as a country singer. She has written many many songs and published more than 20 albums. The one I like the best is 1993’s Other Voices, Other Rooms, won her the Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Performance. There was a LD with the same title, but DVD has not been released.
The Mercury has played many songs from Nanci, including "Gulf Coast Highway", "Once in a very blue moon", "From a distance", "I wish it would rain", "Can't help but wonder where I bound", "If I had a hammer", etc.
A highly recommended artist.

昨晚在扒記欣賞了本港業餘班霸民歌組合Mercury的演出, 無論在他們合作性, 和諧性,技術性都令在下讚嘆, 曲目選自有台灣, 外國歌曲的有Mary Black, Jim Croce, Eagels等等, 嗯, 原來阿oe的囡囡昨晚是首次以主音姿態出現, 彈唱了幾首歌曲, 視為Mercury的第二代, Cherry妹表示身體有點抱羔, 影響了演出, 但在下仍然覺得十分有水準, 聽不出什麼問題. hahaha, 我是Cherry的 fans呢!!

Keep on singing, Mercury!!

Dear All Friends:

時間過得真快，轉眼又到了7月30日，也就是我們熟識的Mercury今天晚上在'時代扒王之王'民歌餐廳唱歌的日子.......

在過往的70天，由5日21日的晚上，Derek + M.A.D.開始，在這個地方我們曾有Sampson、PPM、Derek、Frankie & Dick、Boris哥哥、Young Strings、Tri's Hi's、M.A.D......在多個的晚上帶給我們精采回味的Live Music....... 今天晚上Mercury就應是短期內的最後一個組合在'時代扒王之王'民歌餐廳唱歌.......

也許讓Michael叔叔代表我們這一大班同是喜歡音樂、喜歡民歌、喜歡Live Music的朋友們多謝大家在多個晚上的支持鼓勵，Thank You!

一直以來，Mercury就是我們很欣賞，香港Folk-Rock音樂最有代表性的一個組合，今天晚上有8位Members的Mercury演唱難得機會，不是在Concert Hall，不是在Open Stage，而是在民歌餐廳，真的不要錯過.......
