三月六日晚青韻的Let's Folk晚會中，最希望聽到的一隻歌就係Joan Baez的Diamond and Rust，估唔到就聽到PPM唱出來，真係不枉此行。
其實呢隻歌在197x年聽到時，已經被那段結他Intro所吸引，居然一位弱質女子也可彈得這麼好(當時自己真是有些大男人主義)，真是很佩服。但是只知道好聽，Diamond and rust是何解也不懂。直至年紀大些才明白多些歌詞的意義。
這首歌應是Joan Baez寫給她的男友Bob Dylan，描述她倆十年的戀情無疾而終，無論當中有好的回憶(Diamond)亦有不如意的回憶(Rust)也好，她說她也一一付出過。
歌詞中不乏很多地方顯示她對Bob Dylan 的文釆仰慕，她不介意Bob說她的詩詞寫得lousy，反而在最尾還讚Bob-"You who are so good with words"，還不諱言直說"Yes I loved you dearly"，女性能夠那麼真挈地直言，真是令我佩服。Anyway,這一隻Let's Folk雙CD，令我重新令我記起這首歌。

希望Michael叔叔能給我們多一些Joan和Bob的拍拖(或者說是合作)的資料。
